The senior center is open Mondays and Wednesdays from 10:00 A.M. to 3:00 P.M. Walk-ins are welcome during these hours or you can contact us to make an appointment to meet with one of our SHIP counselors outside of these office hours by calling 815-943-2740. If you are feeling down because of increased isolation, please reach out to one of our PEARLS counselors at 815.701.6605. English and Spanish counselors are both available. This is a FREE service for our Seniors.

Build skills and gain confidence in managing your diabetes and leading an active, fulfilling life.  FREE workshops meet once a week for six weeks for 2.5 hours (with a break) on Thursdays in person or via Zoom.  Click here to learn more and register.

We have in-person assistance to help you understand the complexities behind Medicare and how to best save your healthcare costs. The Senior Health Insurance Program (SHIP) is a free, statewide health insurance program for Medicare seniors and their caregivers. We have SHIP counselors available in McHenry County. We are taking new/used smart phones and distributing them to socially isolated seniors, so they can connect with their loved ones face-to-face, virtually.
